Price of ounce of gold of Kyrgyzstan’s National Bank increases by 4%

Bishkek, Jan. 9, 2023. / Kabar /. Over the year, the price of an refined gold bar of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan weighing 31.1 grams increased by 4.2%, or by USD 78. Updated indicators are published on the website of the bank. Today, the National Bank buys an ounce of a gold bar from the population for KGS 164 thousand 380, and sells it for KGS2 thousand 465.5, or more expensive USD 29. At the beginning of last year, the buyback price was KGS 157 thousand 696, and the sale price was KGS 160 thousand 61. The highest buyout price in 2022 was recorded in March. During the first month of spring, it rose from KGS 183.8 thousand to KGS 213.4 thousand. And the most unfavorable price for gold holders was fixed last year in September, when they could sell their 31.1 gram ingot back to the National Bank for only KGS 138.2 thousand. The sale price by the regulator changed less actively: an ounce of refined precious metal was sold to the population in the range of KGS 160-202 thousand. The largest difference between the sale and repurchase prices last year was recorded in June, amounting to KGS 39 thousand 706.
