Kyrgyzstan imports 2.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in 2022

Bishkek, Dec. 22, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan imported 2.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan in 10 months of 2022, the National Statistical Committee said its report on trade. The main volume, more than 2 billion kilowatt-hours, came from Turkmenistan. 580.1 million kilowatt-hours were imported from Kazakhstan. Compared to the same period last year, imports from Turkmenistan increased by more than 6 times, and from Kazakhstan increased by 7%. The cost of Kazakh electricity was 1.57 soms per 1 kilowatt. Turmensky - cost 2.47 soms per kilowatt. Electricity was not bought from Uzbekistan this year. Last year, from January to October, the supply of Uzbek electricity amounted to 504.3 million kilowatt hours.
