Minister of Oil: These Are The Government's Plans To Invest Associated Gas In Iraqi Fields

Baghdad / NINA / - The Council of Ministers revealed the current government's plans to invest associated gas in Iraqi oil fields. The representative of the Prime Minister, Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani, said, during the preparatory forum for the "Iraq Eighth International Conference and Exhibition for Oil, Gas and Energy," which kicked off Monday morning in the capital, Baghdad, that "the Ministry of Oil has taken upon itself the development of the oil and gas production process, and the increase in energy in line with Iraq's position in the global markets. He added, "The Ministry of Oil has technical plans to invest the associated gas that is now burning," noting that "there is a plan to invest this gas in a way that guarantees the investment of all gas during the coming years, to reach the level of" zero burning." He explained, "Within the ceiling of the plan set within four years, there will be no gas burning completely, and we will have tangible results during the first year of the life of the Iraqi government, especially in some southern fields." He continued to say, "One of our priorities in the ministry is to rehabilitate and re-empower the Iraqi oil export system, and we are proceeding with these plans, and we will achieve tangible results during the coming years in a way that will support the national economy."/ End
