Iran, Spain sign academic cooperation accord
A cultural agreement between the Spanish University of Alicante and Iran's Cultural Office in the country was signed here on Tuesday.
Based on the deal which emphasizes holding scientific conferences, implementing research projects, exchanging students, instructors, scientific books and experience, cooperation between the two entities will develop.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, chancellor of the university, Ignacio Jiménez Raneda said that today courses in Persian language have been institutionalized in the university.
Referring to a short-term course offered by the university on Iranian studies last summer, he added that it proved very positive as the students are keen on organizing a similar course again.
Iran's cultural attaché, Ahmad Khezri, for his part, said that the agreement will help develop scientific and cultural cooperation between the university and cultural office.
