Panthers' Origin pair out of Manly clash

Penrith will be without NSW State of Origin stars Michael Jennings and Luke Lewis
for Saturday's NRL clash with Manly at CUA Stadium.
Lewis has been ruled out for up to two months after X-rays revealed the 25-year-old
will require surgery later this week after he fractured the big toe on his left foot
during last Friday's 26-10 win over Wests Tigers.
The injury has almost certainly ruled Lewis out of the remainder of this year's
State of Origin series and his place in the Panthers side will be taken by Nathan
Smith.
Jennings has failed to recover from a calf injury that kept him out of the victory
at Leichhardt Oval and Maurice Blair will keep his place in the centres.
Bulldogs coach Kevin Moore has named swine flu victim Ben Hannant in his side to
face Brisbane on Friday and said he expected Hannant to be fit to face his former
club.
"I spoke to him yesterday and he's feeling fine, he was probably going to train
himself today," Moore said.
"As per the health regulations Benny will meet up with us on Thursday and definitely
play on Friday night."
The Broncos will welcome back skipper Darren Lockyer for the trip to ANZ Stadium
after the Queensland captain missed last Friday's 48-6 thumping by Melbourne.
Lockyer is among the six players quarantined for testing for swine flu that have
been named in the team along with 19-year-old prop Josh McGuire who is handed his
first start.
Wests Tigers coach Tim Sheens will take his players to a camp in Kiama on the NSW
south coast in a bid to stop his side's slump in form which has seen them slip to
third last on the ladder.
The Tigers have lost their last five games and face an Parramatta side that have
beaten them in the last four meetings between the sides.
Sheens will welcome back centre Chris Lawrence for the first time in four games but
is still without Gareth Ellis (hand), Dean Collis (wrist) and Keith Galloway (knee).
Skipper Robbie Farah has also been named in the side despite being quarantined as a
precaution by the club's doctor.
Parramatta coach Daniel Anderson has named Krisnan Inu in the centres after the New
Zealand international completed a two-match suspension.
Newcastle have recalled five-eighth Ben Roberts for the trip to New Zealand to face
the Warriors in Auckland on Friday with Scott Dureau ruled out for up to six weeks
after tearing his groin in the defeat to Parramatta last Sunday.
Warriors halfback Stacey Jones will make his 250th NRL appearance against the
Knights and coach Ivan Cleary will welcome back centre Patrick Ah Van after a
hamstring injury.
