Kyrgyzstan and Tokyo express interest in tourism cooperation

Bishkek, Nov. 16, 2022. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and Tokyo have expressed interest in tourism cooperation, the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy said. The ministry explained that the International Tourism Expo Japan 2022 Fair-Exhibition was held in Tokyo, where the official delegation of Kyrgyzstan headed by Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic - Director of the Department of Tourism Samat Shatmanov took part. Within the framework of the tourism fair-exhibition, Shatmanov held a number of meetings with the Japanese side and raised the following issues: – Opening of direct flights Bishkek-Tokyo. – Consider a joint wastewater treatment plant project and learn from Japan's experience. – Consider organizing a joint project on hot springs in the Japanese style in Kyrgyzstan. During the meeting, the Japanese side expressed interest in visiting the Kyrgyz Republic, and issues of bilateral cooperation within the framework of the tourist associations of Kyrgyzstan and Japan were also discussed.
