Inflation in Kyrgyzstan reaches 15.4% - EDB

Bishkek, Nov. 14, 2022. /Kabar/. Inflation in Kyrgyzstan was 15.4% in October 2022 (15.5% last month) the Eurasian Development Bank said. A faster slowdown in this indicator was hampered by an increase in demand from non-residents and an increase in producer costs due to problems in international supply chains. According to EDB analysts, high import prices will continue to influence consumer prices in the country. At the same time, inflationary pressure from foreign citizens who temporarily entered the republic may ease in the rest of the year. As a result, we expect some slowdown in inflation by the end of the year, the report said.
