Iran, Belarus agree to promote commercial ties
– The deputy commerce minister for development of economic ties said that signing an agreement between Iran and Belarus will help promote bilateral exchanges and commercial ties.
Mehdi Ghazanfari made the remark in a meeting with Belarusian Ambassador to Iran Victor Rybak.
He hoped that following talks on the outlines of the deal, it will be inked soon.
He further noted that Tehran-Minsk ties in different fields such as economy and culture were always growing and this indicates that friendly relationship exists between them.
The two countries attach a special importance to commercial ties, Ghazanfari noted.
Rybak, for his part, stressed the need to develop cooperation in the fields of oil, export agricultural machinery to Belarus and produce Samand car in the country.
He also called for signing of an agreement to promote free trade between the two sides.
Iran’s main exports to Belarus include pistachio, dried grape, carpet, auto parts and medicines.
