Kyrgyz president condoles over Seoul stampede tragedy

Bishkek, Oct. 31, 2022. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov sent a telegram of condolences to President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Sok-yeol, in connection with the death of people in a mass stampede in Seoul. “I am deeply saddened by the news of the death of many people in the mass stampede in the Itaewon metropolitan area that took place on October 29 this year. On behalf of the people of Kyrgyzstan and myself, I offer condolences to the families and relatives of the victims, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. I share the pain and bitterness of an irreparable loss,” the head of state said in a telegram. 151 people died in a stampede and at least 82 people were injured in Seoul on the Itaewon walking street on the eve of the celebration of Halloween.
