Kyrgyz producers of dried fruits can enter markets of Korea, Europe and USA

Bishkek, Sept. 29, 2022 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz producers of dried fruits will be helped to enter the markets of non-CIS countries, Director of the National Investment Agency under President of the Kyrgyz Republic Umbriel Temiraliev told reporters at Kabar Agency. He said that today Arab countries, Korea, European countries, as well as the USA and Canada show great interest in processed products of domestic producers. “The fruits of the wild apple tree, plums, apricots and nuts are unique. Since they grow in the wild, they do not contain chemicals. But we do not have enough modern equipment for their collection and drying. People dry on the roof in the old fashioned way. So, garbage accumulates in the nectars of fruits and insects get stuck. After drying, they simply wash off the surface dirt and sell it for sale, which is unacceptable by international standards. We want to support start-up enterprises, advise them on production processes, help them buy modern equipment and enter the right markets,” Temiraliev explained. He noted that today there are cases when domestic entrepreneurs were able to enter large markets without the help of government agencies. Therefore, one of the priorities in attracting investments to the republic should be to support small and medium-sized enterprises. “We should not chase only big mega-projects. First of all, we must support small and medium-sized businesses. We set a goal to find the necessary capital for them for a long time,” concluded Temiraliev.
