Tajik aggression. Emergency situation introduced in Batken Oblast

Bishkek, Sept. 17, 2022. / Kabar /. An emergency situation has been introduced in Batken Oblast of Kyrgyzstan, the country’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
The ministry reported that in connection with the registered conflict with the use of weapons in the border regions of Kyrgyzstan with Tajikistan, in Batken Oblast, in order to establish peace in the region, to ensure the safety of citizens in the conflict centers, to carry out work on evacuation and resettlement of the population, to prevent loss of life and mobilize appropriate forces, an emergency situation regime was introduced in Batken Oblast on the basis of the order of the head of the Civil Protection, governor of the oblast Abdikarim Alimbaev dated September 16, 2022,
On September 14, Tajikistan showed armed aggression by attacking Kyrgyz border outposts and settlements. On September 16, the Tajik side, violating all previously reached agreements, again attacked border and civilian facilities along the entire perimeter of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border in the Batken region.
Tajikistan used heavy armored vehicles, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and aircraft in an attempt to seize the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, 87 people from the Kyrgyz side were injured, 24 people died, including children.
On the sidelines of the SCO summit in Samarkand, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov met with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The leaders of the two countries agreed to instruct the relevant structures to cease fire and withdraw forces and assets from the line of contact.
According to data of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Tajik military destroyed the infrastructure of outposts, as well as schools, kindergartens, retail outlets, first-aid posts, and houses. Shouting out nationalist slogans, they showed blasphemy and subjected to abuse the bodies of the dead at the border guards of Kyrgyzstan.
