FMs of Kyrgyzstan and Bahrain discuss official visit of President Zhaparov to Bahrain

Bishkek, Sept. 9, 2022. / Kabar /. On the sidelines of the strategic dialogue "Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf + Central Asia", the head of the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the sides noted with satisfaction the results of Kulubaev's official visit to Bahrain in June this year and agreed to continue the practical implementation of the reached agreements. Particular attention was paid to expanding the legal framework between the two countries, in particular in the field of economy, investment, finance and tourism. The sides agreed to continue work on the creation of a joint intergovernmental commission and a business council. Kulubaev said that the Kyrgyz side is preparing to organize an official visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to Bahrain this year. Al-Zayani, on behalf of the leadership of Bahrain, welcomed this visit. In addition, Kulubaev invited the Bahraini side to take part in events dedicated to mountainous countries within the framework of the UN General Assembly on September 19, 2022. In order to qualitatively prepare for the upcoming events, Kulubaev announced the expectation of an early accreditation of Ambassador Ulugbek Maripov in Bahrain concurrently. At the end of the meeting, Kulubaev invited his Bahraini counterpart to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan, to which Al-Zayani expressed his readiness to come in the near future.
