Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia agree to build up trade, economic and investment ties

Bishkek, Sept. 9, 2022. / Kabar /. On the sidelines of the strategic dialogue “Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf + Central Asia”, a meeting was held between Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said that noting with satisfaction the existing high level of bilateral relations, the sides discussed further steps to develop them and strengthen political dialogue by organizing mutual visits at high and highest levels.
Prince Faisal al-Saud assured that in the near future he would inform about the exact dates of the official visit ofPresident of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to Saudi Arabia.
At the same time, the sides agreed to direct joint efforts to build up trade, economic and investment ties, incl. holding a Kyrgyz-Saudi business forum in Bishkek, establishing a Business Council, opening direct regular flights between the two countries and simplifying visa requirements for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic to enter KSA.
Kulubaev stressed that the upcoming meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission would give impetus to bilateral relations in the economy, tourism, logistics and other areas, including the implementation of investment projects in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The minister of foreign affairs of Saudi Arabia announced that the Saudi side is working on a project to build the Cultural Center of Saudi Arabia in Bishkek, aimed at spreading the culture of the two peoples.
In conclusion, the sides agreed to implement all the important issues on the agenda.
