Sadyr Zhaparov receives ministers of internal affairs of CIS member states

Bishkek, Sept. 8, 2022. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received the ministers of internal affairs of the CIS member states, who arrived in Cholpon-Ata town of Kyrgyzstan to participate in a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states, the press service of the head of state reported. Welcoming the guests, the head of state noted that in the age of globalization and technological progress, the Commonwealth countries, clearly understanding modern realities, are making the necessary efforts to ensure peace and tranquility in the Eurasian space. In this context, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic ensures the solution of the tasks set in the law enforcement sphere. Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the potential of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country allows to fully assert its readiness for modern challenges and threats, to ensure the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens. “It is gratifying that cooperation with foreign partners is expanding in multilateral, bilateral formats, including with the CIS countries,” the head of state emphasized. President Zhaparov expressed confidence that today's joint meeting is another step that contributes to the development of cooperation in the fight against crime. In the matter of ensuring overall security and stability, it is no less important to continue the interaction of the Commonwealth's internal affairs bodies in exchanging information about impending and committed crimes, assisting in the search for fugitives from criminal prosecution, as well as conducting joint exercises, operational-search and preventive measures. In turn, the meeting participants noted that the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states will become an effective measure to strengthen interaction between the internal affairs bodies of the Commonwealth countries, including in such areas as combating extremism, drug trafficking, cybercrime, etc. At the same time, they stressed that the strengthening of personal contacts between the ministries contributes to the prompt resolution of issues and the exchange of experience. The participants of the meeting exchanged views on measures for further implementation of comprehensive coordinated measures in various areas of the fight against crime. The meeting with the head of state was attended by Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Niyazbekov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan Vilayat Eyvazov, Chief of Police of Armenia Vahe Ghazaryan, Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus Ivan Kubrakov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Marat Akhmetzhanov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Minister of Internal Affairs Affairs of Uzbekistan Pulat Bobozhonov, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Abdurakhmon Alamshozoda, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic Shadurdy Meredov, First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary Leonid Anfimov, Director of the Bureau for Coordinating the Fight against Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Types of Crimes in the territory of the CIS member states Oleg Konovalov.
