Bishkek, Sept. 7, 2022. / Kabar /. “Digitalization is the main trend of today's global development. Kyrgyzstan is in the process of active digitalization of the economy, management system, education and social sphere,” President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov said at the launch ceremony of the Centers for Civic and Digital Education project under the Central Election Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic. 70 of the above-mentioned centers based on libraries and youth centers have been launched online throughout the country. The head of state, welcoming the audience, noted the importance of this event - the creation of centers will allow systematizing civic and digital education and implementing various programs of civic, legal and digital education on an ongoing basis. Sadyr Zhaparov stressed that this will improve access to educational programs, expand the use of electronic services, especially for residents in remote areas. He added that with the creation of 38 public service centers and 70 civic and digital education centers in the country, access to public electronic services is significantly expanding. Considering that the electronic signature can also be registered, citizens will use all the possibilities in the centers to easily solve many issues in their daily lives. “It is especially important that all segments of the population participate in the project: first of all, young people, people with disabilities, women, migrants and the elderly. In addition to educational programs, these centers can provide a platform for local communities to meet successful leaders, promote women's leadership and hold youth debates,” Sadyr Zhaparov said. He stressed that before the end of the year, the state will support the opening of several dozen more centers in remote areas and villages. The implementation of this comprehensive social project aimed at improving the digital knowledge of people, as well as respect for natural resources, will improve citizens' understanding of the country's political and electoral systems, increase confidence in the electoral process and increase citizen participation in them. Sadyr Zhaparov stressed with satisfaction that the initiators of today's project create favorable conditions for combining the efforts and capabilities of all interested parties in improving the legal and political culture of society.
