Iran Ardebil province, Kazakhstan ink economic MoU
Governor of Iran's northwestern province of Ardebil Mansour Haqiqat-Pour and Kazakhstan’s president advisor for trade affairs inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on economic cooperation Tuesday evening.
The Kazakh president’s advisor, leading a delegation to Iran, said his country is ready to promote cooperation with Ardebil in tourism, industrial and agricultural fields.
He expressed the readiness at the signing ceremony after visiting some of the economic sites of Ardebil province.
During the three-day stay in Ardebil, the Kazakh official said the two sides should make efforts to boost bilateral trade relations.
He said economic cooperation between the two sides would pave ground for fostering bilateral relations in various fields.
Establishment of Iran’s bank branches in Kazakhstan would expand financial and trade cooperation between the two Islamic countries, he added.
Referring to Ardebil’s achievements in both industrial and agricultural fields, he stressed that the two sides have great commonalities for bilateral cooperation.
On the sidelines of the signing ceremony, the two officials also called for setting up a joint chamber of commerce between Ardebil province and Kazakhstan.
