Details about Iran’s seizure of US sail drones

Tehran, IRNA - Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi on Sunday gave details about Iran’s recent seizure of two US sail drones by Jamaran destroyer. General Mousavi gave the details at a ceremony held at AJA University of Medical Sciences (Medical University for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army) in Tehran. The Army commander noted that the US was informed through mediation that its vessels are at a certain area; while it was warned to obey international rules. The United States due to its aggressive nature is indifferent to nations’ rights and international regulations, he added. The US unmanned vessels are on the seas and are not careful about crossing paths of other vessels so they may threaten the security of others, the commander underlined. For this reason, Iran seized one of the US vessels and then put it in a secure place, he said, adding that the Iranian naval forces also stopped two US sail drones in recent days and put them in a safe place; then the Islamic Republic told the US about the place. Such a seizure has no benefits for the Islamic Republic and the country just does it to bring security for other vessels, he added.
