Bishkek to host Kyrgyz-Saudi Business Forum

Bishkek, Sept. 2, 2022 / Kabar /. A Kyrgyz-Saudi Business Forum is planned to be held in Bishkek by the end of this year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov and Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ajlan Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan during the meeting on Thursday discussed the holding of the next Kyrgyz-Saudi Business Forum in Bishkek until the end of 2022. The sides also discussed the further development and deepening of trade, economic and investment cooperation, including the organization of the visit of a Saudi business delegation to the Kyrgyz Republic, the Foreign Ministry said. During the meeting, questions were also raised about the need to identify promising areas of cooperation between the two fraternal countries, the constant exchange of information on investment opportunities, holding joint events with the participation of representatives of the private sector of the Kyrgyz Republic and Saudi Arabia, as well as opening direct regular flights between Bishkek and Riyadh. Maripov asked to organize bilateral meetings with large companies of Saudi Arabia in the very near future and invited the interlocutor to visit the Kyrgyz Republic to participate in the upcoming business forum. In turn, Al-Ajlan assured that he would assist the embassy in promoting the issues on the agenda, including the successful holding of upcoming events aimed at strengthening ties between representatives of the business communities of the two states, the report said. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to ensure the conclusion of an agreement on the establishment of the Kyrgyz-Saudi Business Council and maintain direct contacts on a regular basis.
