Salim Al-Hus receives Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon

Beirut, June 02, SPA -- Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Aseeri met
here today with former Lebanese Prime Minister Salem Al-Hus at the
latter office in Beirut today.

Following the meeting, the Ambassador said the visit came as
part of visits to determine the various political powers in Lebanon.

In a briefing to The Saudi Press Agency, he reiterated Saudi
Arabia's leadership support to Lebanon and said he is looking forward
to see a stable and safe Lebanon without interference from anyone.

Ambassador Asiri hoped that the results of the parliamentary
elections promise stability and prosperity for the brotherly Lebanese
people. "We, in Saudi Arabia, suffer if our Lebanese brothers are
inflicted by any harm and we rejoice when we see the existence of
political cohesion, understanding and consensus for the sake of their
homeland and hope that Lebanon would always be fine".

He expressed optimism about the future of Lebanon and hope for
the prevalence of security and stability after the next parliamentary
elections.

He hoped that another outlook towards Lebanon would be the
crystallization into reality the advancement and welfare of its
people and that Lebanon will regain its glory.

With respect to the next elections, Asiri said the Kingdom respects
the choice of the Lebanese people, saying it is our duty to seek
unification of Lebanon's political power and strengthening of its
security and stability.

"The Saudi-Lebanese relations are people-to-people bonds. Therefore,
whatever the Lebanese peoples' choice for the leadership, we will be
with him," he added.
