Ministers of internal affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan sign agreement on cooperation

Bishkek, Aug. 22, 2022 / Kabar /. Within the framework of the Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs and Public Security of the SCO Member States in Tashkent, a meeting was held between Ministers of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Niyazbekov and Uzbekistan Pulat Bobozhonov. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said that during the meeting, the need for further expansion of cooperation was noted, taking into account the criminal challenges of the modern world, in particular, crime in the information sphere, terrorism and extremism, illegal migration, drug trafficking, weapons and human trafficking. In addition, issues of prospects for the development of bilateral interdepartmental cooperation in combating crime, training and retraining of personnel, as well as strengthening regional security and stability were discussed. As a result of the meeting, an Agreement on Cooperation between the relevant departments was signed, providing for long-term cooperation measures.
