Bishkek, Aug. 18, 2022 / Kabar /. A meeting of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov and Ambassador of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic Shigeki Maeda was held with the finalists of the 16th group of the JDS project (Japan).
According to the project, the Japanese side provides scholarships for studying in Japan for master's and doctoral studies for state and municipal employees of Kyrgyzstan.
Speaking to the finalists, Edil Baisalov emphasized that Japan, by providing scholarships for civil servants of Kyrgyzstan, extends a hand of friendship and support.
“Today we welcome the next finalists of the JDS project to be sent to study in Japan. About 20 state and municipal employees received scholarships and the right to study. Japan is an advanced country in the world, a separate civilization, and of course, Kyrgyzstan has a lot to learn. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Japanese side for their support, and especially the Japanese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Mr. Shigeki Maeda,” he said.
Baisalov also drew attention to the fact that Kyrgyzstan needs to build up comprehensive relations with Japan and adopt advanced knowledge.
“Dear fellows, you can become a bridge between our countries. As I noted above, Japan is one of the most developed countries in the world. Getting an education in such a country, I hope you will bring to Kyrgyzstan a wealth of experience and knowledge that you will certainly invest in the development of Kyrgyzstan. We need to cooperate as much as possible with such an advanced country,” he concluded.
The finalist of the JDS project, employee of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Elvira Isaeva said that she was going to study in Japan for the second time.
“Before that, I had already received a master's degree in Japan through the JDS project. Now I won the competition and received a scholarship for doctoral studies. Japan has a high level of education. Getting a PhD was a dream for me. We will certainly use the knowledge gained for the benefit of the country,” she concluded.
