Kurultay of Hunno-Turkic peoples held in Hungary

Bishkek, Aug. 17, 2022 / Kabar /. The “7th Kurultai of the Hunno-Turkic peoples” was held on Aug. 12-14, 2022, in Budapest, the Organization of Turkic States said. This traditional assembly of the Hunno-Turkic peoples was organized by the Hungarian Tourist Association and headed by Bíró András Zsolt, President of the Hungarian Turan Foundation. The Kurultai attended by László Kövér, Speaker of the Parliament of Hungary, Baghdad Amreyev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Binali Yıldırım, Chairman of the Council of Elders, Necmettin Bilal Erdoğan, President of the World Ethnosport Federation, Azamat Zhamankulov, Minister of Culture, Sports and Information of Kyrgyzstan, Sultanbai Raev, Secretary General of TURKSOY, Mehmet Süreyya Er, Secretary General of TURKPA, Darkhan Kydyrali, President of the Turkic Academy and Avazjon Karimov, Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Kurultay program included: a fire show, exhibition of Attila's Yurt, demonstration of about 1 thousand warriors, army parade of cavalry troops using thoroughbred horses of about 500, including Akhal-Teke horses, demonstration performances of Kyrgyz archers, presentation of falconry, demonstration of steppe equestrian combat, kurash wrestling competitions, musical performances by masters of arts of the Turkic countries and etc. Addressing the Kurultay, Secretary General expressed his deep gratitude to the Government and the Parliament of Hungary in promoting the great heritage of the Turkic peoples by holding the Kurultay in which was attended by more than 27 tribes of Turkic peoples and almost 200 thousand people. Baghdad Amreyev, emphasizing the need to continue organizing such events, invited the participants of the Kurultay to take an active part in the upcoming 4th World Nomad Games, scheduled at the end of September 2022 in Iznik, Turkey. During the event, were also organized meetings in a trilateral format, including the Organization of Turkic States with the Hungarian Tourist Association and Azamat Zhamankulov, Minister of Culture, Sports and Information of Kyrgyzstan and with. Necmettin Bilal Erdoğan, President of the World Ethnosport Federation.
