Theaters of Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia sign memorandum of cooperation

Bishkek, Aug. 16, 2022 / Kabar /. Theaters of Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia signed a memorandum of cooperation, the Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater reported. During a working trip to Mongolia, Director General of the Kyrgyz theater Almaz Istambaev signed a memorandum of cooperation with his colleague, the head of the theater in Mongolia, Tsedendorj Tovshintogs. Cultural ties with foreign countries are an important part of the activities of the Kyrgyz Opera and Ballet Theatre, carried out in order to familiarize, mutually enrich and further develop original national cultures, strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between people. Last theatrical season, the Kyrgyz theater celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan. Then, a talented vocalist from Mongolia, laureate of international competitions, guest soloist of La Scala, the Mariinsky Theater, Arena di Verona, finalist of the Grand Opera project Badral Chuluunbaatar performed brilliantly in G. Verdi's opera Aida, the report said. Within the framework of cooperation, the theaters plan to create joint projects by attracting directors, artists, conductors, opera and ballet soloists, conducting tours, concerts with the presentation of the best performances of the repertoire. In the near future, it is planned to jointly show masterpieces of world classics - G. Verdi's opera "Rigoletto" and A. Adam's ballet "Giselle".
