Kyrgyz-Kazakh cooperation in business and tourism spheres discussed in Kazakhstan

Bishkek, Aug. 10, 2022 / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan Dastan Dyushekeev met with Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken" Raimbek Batalov, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. During the meeting, the issues of Kyrgyz-Kazakh cooperation in the field of business, trade and tourism, as well as the creation of joint ventures were discussed. Dyushekeev expressed his gratitude to Atameken for facilitating the meeting of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov with major Kazakh investors during his state visit to Kazakhstan in March 2021. The ambassador also noted the interest in building up trade, economic and investment ties with Kazakhstan, informed that following the results of the official visit of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Kyrgyz Republic on May 26, 2022, a number of documents of an economic nature were signed. Among them are the Memorandum on investing in the infrastructure of the industrial trade and logistics complex on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border of the two countries and the Cooperation Agreement between six regions of the two countries. In more detail, the sides dwelled on the bilateral agenda - the issue of holding the first Interregional Forum with the participation of business circles of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. In turn, the chairman of the board of National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan said that the business circles of the two countries maintain close contact on all issues of interest, including within the framework of participation in the Kyrgyz-Kazakhstan Business Council, the Business Club, as well as the so-called Diaspora of the Kyrgyz business. As a result, the sides expressed high interest and the need to intensify contacts between the business circles of the two countries in order to meaningfully fill trade and economic cooperation.
