Al-Masri writes his Syrian counterpart

DAMASCUS, June 01 (Saba) - Yemeni ambassador to Syria Abdul-Wahab Tawaf handed over
on Monday a letter from Yemeni Interior Minister Mutahar al-Masri to Syrian
counterpart Saeed Samur.

The letter dealt with the security cooperation between the two brotherly countries
and means of boosting them.

In the meeting, the Syrian Minister praised the level of security coordination
between the two countries, valuing Yemen's efforts in combating terrorism.

The minister Samur confirmed his country's keenness on strengthening its ties with
Yemen in different fields.

The meeting also discussed preparations for holding the meeting of the joint
security committee during the forthcoming months in addition to dealing with several
issues concerning the Yemeni community in Syria.
