Kyrgyz education minister meets with Peace Corps volunteers from US

Bishkek, Aug. 4, 2022. /Kabar/. Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Beishenaliev met with Peace Corps volunteers.
Thus, 11 directors, 11 teachers and 11 volunteers came to Kyrgyzstan from the United States through the Peace Corps, the Education Ministry reported.
During the meeting, the minister noted that over the last 30 years more than 1 thousand people worked as volunteers in the Peace Corps in Kyrgyzstan
"Congratulations to the volunteers who came with a deep faith in our country for their activities in a new direction. Previously, many generations of volunteers in our country have implemented successful teacher training and youth development projects. They have also helped more than one hundred thousand people to learn English, develop and expand their managerial and leadership skills," said Almazbek Beishenaliev.
Peace Corps volunteers work in Kyrgyzstan at the invitation of the Kyrgyz government based on an agreement signed in 1992. Currently, the Ministry of Education and the Corps are working to increase the number of volunteers.
