Kyrgyz Parliament speaker meets with from Tatarstan and Bashkortostan

Bishkek, Aug. 2, 2022. /Kabar/. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov met with Chairman of the Union Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tatarstan Shamil Ageyev and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bashkortostan Timur Khakimov. The meeting was also attended by deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported. During the meeting, issues in the sphere of strengthening economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, its subjects, as well as implementation of joint projects were discussed. Talant Mamytov noted that economic cooperation with brotherly republics is a priority. "The volume of foreign trade turnover in 2021 between Kyrgyzstan and Tatarstan was more than USD 58 million. The volume of foreign trade turnover with Bashkortostan was USD 39 million. These figures this year are comparatively higher. Of course, this is not the limit, because we have the potential to develop economic cooperation. We need to expand the spheres of cooperation between our entrepreneurs, including the consideration of joint projects in such spheres as energy, tourism, IT technology and machine building," the speaker said. In addition, he informed that back in 2011, the Council for Business and Entrepreneurship Development under the Jogorku Kenesh was established, in which with the participation of the business community is an active discussion on current issues in the field of entrepreneurship, as well as issues for improvement of the legislative framework. In turn, Chairman of the Union Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tatarstan Shamil Ageyev said that the meeting was very important for the further economic cooperation. President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bashkortostan Timur Khakimov added that the businessmen's visit will help implement a number of investment projects.
