About 177 flights are carried out from Kyrgyzstan to Russia on a weekly basis, Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Erkinbek Osoev said at a press conference on the results of the first half of 2022. He noted that flights from Bishkek operated to 12 cities in Russia, from Osh - to 14 cities and from Tamchy - to 5 cities. “The increase in traffic is associated with the removal of restrictions on flights between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, as until this time, the Russian side has not removed the restrictions imposed in connection with the coronavirus infection," the minister said. Erkinbek Osoev also dwelled on the operational data on the number of passengers carried by air service. "A total of 1 million 433 thousand passengers were carried over 6 months of 2022, including 300 thousand 164 passengers with Kyrgyz airlines, and 1 million 95 thousand 648 passengers – with foreign,” the official concluded.
