Up to 700 thsd tons of wheat harvest expected in Kyrgyzstan this year

Bishkek, July 19, 2022. /Kabar/. Up to 700 thousand tons of wheat harvest is expected in Kyrgyzstan this year, Minister of Agriculture Askarbek Dzhanybekov said during a press conference on Tuesday. The minister added that the country's need for food wheat is 768 thousand tons. "The ministry plans to reach a wheat supply of 65% this year through domestic production. According to forecasts, this year's wheat harvest will increase from 362,700 tons to 708,100 tons," Dzhanybekov said.
