Kyrgyzstan takes part in first meeting of agriculture ministers of OTS

Bishkek, July 5, 2022. / Kabar /. The first meeting of the ministers of agriculture of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) took place in the capital of Uzbekistan, in Tashkent on Monday, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic said. The event made it possible to expand economic interconnection in the agro-industrial complex, including an increase in trade turnover and mobilization of investments in the implementation of mutually beneficial projects between the organization’s member states and observers. The organizer of the meeting was the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan. It was attended by Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Baghdad Amreev, Minister of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan Askarbek Dzhanybekov, Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Inam Karimov, Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Yerbol Karashukeev, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey Vakhit Kirishchi, representatives of the observer countries Deputy Secretary of State for International Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary Oscar Ekrosh and Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan Begmyrat Ataev, as well as officials of relevant departments, representatives of relevant organizations and leading companies, international and regional organizations. The purpose of the forum is to create a single discussion platform on key issues of cooperation in agriculture.
