Iraq Affirms Its Support For The Basic Principles Of The Non-Aligned Movement And All Movements For National Independence And Liberation

Baghdad / NINA / - Iraq affirmed its support for the basic principles of the Non-Aligned Movement, its support for all national independence and liberation movements, and the assistance of peoples to the right to self-determination and to choose the form of government. Head of the Iraqi delegation to the "Baku" conference of the Parliamentary Network of the International Non-Aligned Movement Shakhwan Abdullah said: “Iraq represents a main axis and an important factor for stability in the region and the Middle East in general, and despite the magnitude of the challenges and political problems, the Iraqi parliament was able to exercise its role and oversight and legislative tasks in accordance with the constitution and its bylaw, and to perform its work on a continuous basis and to communicate with a number of laws and the most accurate in the forefront of which is the Emergency Support Law for Food Security and Development to ensure the provision of ration card items, food baskets, social welfare financing, assistance to the poor classes, and support for farmers. He stressed the importance of the struggle against terrorism and international extremism, and finding realistic solutions to the migration crisis caused by armed conflicts and clashes, Confirmed "we have to commend the active and positive role of the Republic of Azerbaijan and its management of the Non-Aligned Movement."
