Kyrgyzstan prepares for tourist season 2022

This year the tourist season in Kyrgyzstan could be a turning point for the industry. There are all the prerequisites for this, and surprisingly, the situation in the world has played into the hands of Kyrgyzstan. Given that the travel to a number of countries is closed for citizens of Russia, people can go to our country. Already now one can observe a large influx of foreign citizens, which by the middle of summer will increase. It is extremely important for Kyrgyzstan not to lose face and prepare to receive guests in the best possible way. It is gratifying that there are innovations in the tourism industry that can make holidays in Kyrgyzstan more attractive. Projects are already being implemented, routes and old flights are being resumed, the authorities are thinking about the safety of vacationers. Regarding air communication, 2 new routes are opened from Russia - one of them is from Surgut, that will start operating from June 4 on Saturdays. Another flight - Moscow - Tamchy. It will start running from June 16 twice a week - on Thursdays and Saturdays. In addition, railway communication between Kyrgyzstan and Russia is being resumed. For the convenience of tourists, rest points will be opened on all popular tourist routes. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparovs noted at the presentation during the meeting of the Cabinet that the rest point is an opportunity for tourists and travelers to relax, get information, and charge their gadgets. Here one can drink coffee on the terrace or take a shower. Each rest point will be equipped with a tourist interactive display containing all the information travelers need - about routes and attractions, recreation areas and interesting places nearby. It is noted that showers and toilets will be provided at all rest points, including one specially equipped for people with disabilities, a praying room, a small coffee shop, a kiosk and charging points. Rest points can work year-round. Solar collectors will be installed in rest points for heating and hot water, and in places where there are no sewerage systems, autonomous treatment facilities will be built. 5,000 police officers will be involved to ensure security during the tourist season. Starting from June 3, the internal affairs bodies switched to an enhanced mode of service. With the support of President of the Kyrgyz Republic - Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Sadyr Zhaparov, as well as the Cabinet of Ministers, with the help of foreign colleagues and international partners, we managed to create modern conditions for high-quality, professional services to the population. In the regions of the country, local police inspectors are equipped with modern equipment, in the cities of Bishkek and Osh, a tourist police has been launched, whose employees speak foreign languages, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said. More than 2,000 surveillance cameras have been installed in public places, in crowded places, on dangerous sections of roads, from which round-the-clock monitoring is carried out. There are 57 mobile police stations in remote tourist areas of the country. In addition, a number of favorable conditions have been created for employees of internal affairs bodies. “We cannot allow the infringement of rights and freedoms, criminal encroachments against citizens. I am confident that the tasks will be successfully implemented,” the Minister of Internal Affairs Ulan Niyazbekov said during a meeting on June 3 where the issue of ensuring security in the tourist season discussed.
