Modern dairy complex launched in Naryn Oblast of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, June 6, 2022. /Kabar/. A project to increase dairy production in Naryn Oblast of Kyrgyzstan has been launched with the support of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF).
According to the fund, the RKDF has supported the At Bashy Sut company and it has already purchased 64 European breeding cows. A dairy complex has been built and fitted with modern equipment to keep them. They adapted to Kyrgyzstan’s conditions and show good milk yields - 20 liters of milk per cow per day. A total of 170 cows will be bought.
"The company did not have enough raw materials for cheese and butter production. The reason for this was insufficient milk yields in the region. The desire to reduce the deficit and ensure food security is the main point that attracted us to this project. The dairy complex will allow the company to cover 30% of its needs in raw materials, and it will work all year round. This, in turn, will provide stable jobs and tax revenues for the oblast," Chairman of the RKDF Board Artem Novikov said.
He stressed that the Fund implements the tasks set by the leadership of the Kyrgyz Republic and tries to actively participate in the development of regions. In general, in Naryn Oblast, RKDF has financed 92 projects in the amount of $5 million. Throughout the republic, the Fund has also implemented 3.2 thousand projects for $427 million.
"These figures do not satisfy us. We have to make an even greater contribution to the development of the Kyrgyz economy. The Council and the management of the Fund set tasks to implement the maximum number of projects, increase the volume of their financing and create as many jobs as possible," Novikov said.
