In most EAEU countries, budget was executed with surplus in first quarter of 2022

Bishkek, May 25, 2022 / Kabar /. In the first quarter of 2022, the republican budget was executed with a surplus in all states of the Eurasian Economic Union, except for Kazakhstan. According to data of the EEC, budget revenues showed an increase compared to the same period last year in all EAEU countries, including due to an increase in income tax and VAT. Expenditures on national activities and financing of the social sphere were the most significant in the expenditure part of the budget. The growth rate of public debt in the EAEU as a whole slowed down. External debt prevailed in Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, while domestic debt prevailed in Kazakhstan and Russia. The member countries of the EAEU are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
