Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and ADB discussed in Bishkek

Bishkek/ Kabar /. Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev held a meeting with Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for Public Management, Financial Sector and Trade in Central and West Asia Tariq Niazi. According to the press service of the ministry, during the meeting, the issues of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the ADB, as well as issues of the current macroeconomic situation, were discussed. Amangeldiev briefed Niazi on the activities of the ministry, in particular on the development of public-private partnerships (PPP), reforming fiscal policy and improving the investment climate. In turn, Niazi informed about the approval of the ADB technical assistance to finance anti-crisis measures, and the implementation of the Subprogram - 3 of the Program for Diversifying the Economy, in connection with the crisis situation in the world. He also expressed interest in the development of PPP, and proposed to intensify cooperation and exchange of experience between specialists from the ministry and ADB in this area. At the same time, Niazi congratulated the Kyrgyz side on the establishment of the Halal Industry Development Center and the Entrepreneurship Service Center. As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on further promotion of the Economic Diversification Program and consideration of projects in such areas as e-commerce, support for women's entrepreneurship, green economy and combating climate change. The sides agreed to further enhance bilateral cooperation, develop and implement new joint projects.
