Sadyr Zhaparov: We will not spare money to build strong army

"We are ready to provide all possible support and will spare no expense to build a strong army with a high defense capability," President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov said Thursday during a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the Department for the Protection of Correctional Institutions and Convoying Prisoners and Detainees of the Punishments Execution Service under the Ministry of Justice. In his congratulatory speech, the Kyrgyz leader noted that the Department for the Protection of Correctional Facilities and Convoying Prisoners and Detainees, one of Kyrgyzstan's first military units, was created exactly 80 years ago and has come a long and glorious way since then. “Over 80 years, military servicemen have been faithful to their military oath, sacredly preserving their honor and dignity and fulfilling the demanding tasks entrusted to them by the state based on the rule of law," Zhaparov said. The president also noted that working with detainees is a very difficult and responsible job. "You maintain peace and stability in the country by clearly and conscientiously performing your duties. I want to emphasize that we are ready to provide all possible support and will spare no expense to build a strong army with a high defense capability,” Zhaparov said addressing the staff. The president of Kyrgyzstan expressed the gratitude to the Department's veterans who have made a significant contribution to the patriotic education of young soldiers, passing on their rich life and professional experience to the next generations.
