Kyrgyzstan, Russia discuss co-op in field of industry

Bishkek, April 26, 2022 . /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev held a meeting with Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov. The press service of the Kyrgyz Economy Ministry reported that the meeting took place on the margins of the INNOPROM. Central Asia International Industrial Fair, which is taking place these days in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent. Minister Amangeldiev noted that Russia traditionally serves as a reliable trade and economic partner of Kyrgyzstan. During the meeting, the two ministers discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in investment, industry and trade. They considered the implementation of existing agreements and new directions for the development of mutually beneficial partnership. They also explored opportunities for deepening industrial cooperation and building interconnected value chains in high-tech and investment-intensive industries, such as energy, machine building, agricultural and road-building, chemical, pharmaceutical industry and IT sector. As a result of the meeting, the sides elaborated and agreed upon mutually acceptable solutions on important aspects of further Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation and promotion of joint projects. In addition, a joint visit to Chirchik Chemical-Industrial Technopark took place on Tuesday. On the territory of Chirchik Technopark, it is planned to organize production of petrochemical and chemical products with high added value according to international quality standards.
