Kyrgyz ambassador and minister of trade of Turkey discuss development of bilateral cooperation

Bishkek, April 19, 2022 / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Mus, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. During the meeting, the sides discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, the implementation of the Action Plan of the 10th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) on trade and economic cooperation and the holding of the 11th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission in autumn 2022. Ambassador Omuraliev informed about the export opportunities of Kyrgyzstan and the GSP + program of the European Union, etc. Taking into account the high customs duties for the import of goods from the Kyrgyz Republic into Turkey, the ambassador expressed a request to assist in reducing these rates for the export of Kyrgyz products, including honey, beans, meat, etc. to Turkey. In turn, Mehmet Mus expressing gratitude to the ambassador for the presentation of Kyrgyz export products, incl. honey, noted that he would consider the possibility of importing products from Kyrgyzstan.
