Issue of reinstatement of Kyrgyzstan's 'Good Delivery' status discussed in UK

Bishkek, April 14, 2022. / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the United Kingdom Ulan Dzhusupov met with Executive Board Director and Chief Lawyer of the London Bullion Markets Association (LBMA) Sakhila Mirza. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the current status of restoration of Kyrgyzstan's Good Delivery status, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported. During the meeting, Dzhusupov informed that Kyrgyzaltyn JSC is fulfilling all necessary measures and requirements of the LBMA norms and standards. It was assured that in the future the Kyrgyz side will strictly comply with the rules and implement the procedures within the necessary time frame. The ambassador also reported on reaching an amicable agreement between the Kyrgyz Government and Centerra Gold and settlement of disagreements on management of Kumtor Gold Company. It was noted that the Kyrgyz side is ready for full compliance with its obligations under the agreement and expects to fulfill its obligations on the part of Centerra Gold. Dzhusupov stressed that the harmonization and settlement of the parties' claims on Kumtor will help restore confidence and interest of foreign investors in cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic. LBMA Executive Board Director Sakhila Mirza expressed gratitude for close interaction with the Association and the efforts of the Kyrgyz side to resolve existing issues. She hoped that Kyrgyzstan would continue to make a significant contribution to increasing confidence in the list of trustworthy suppliers Good Delivery.
