Foreign Minister, His Kuwaiti Counterpart Discuss Bilateral And Regional Relations And Coordination At The Int'l Level

Baghdad / NINA / - Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received a phone call from Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al Muhammad Al-Sabah, and the two sides exchanged congratulations and blessings on the occasion of the month of Ramadan, wishing the two brotherly peoples peace and security. A Foreign Ministry statement said that the two ministers discussed relations between the two countries and ways to develop them in the coming period. They also discussed the regional and international situation, developments in the region, and coordination between Iraq and the Gulf states on international issues. The statement added, "The two sides discussed the new developments of the Russian-Ukrainian war on the ground, and its consequences on international relations and the global economy, and the manner and method of making UN decisions related to this conflict." They stressed the importance of following the events carefully and in their light of crystallizing common positions in international organizations, as well as the importance of emphasizing the resolution of dilemmas through dialogue and negotiations.
