Azerbaijan, Germany discuss bilateral relations

Baku, March 29, AZERTAC As part of his working visit to Germany, Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met in a round table format with Stefan Mayer, Director of the German Institute for International Policy and Security of the Science and Policy Foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany, and researchers of the institute. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, as well as cooperation of Azerbaijan with the European Union, as well as regional and international issues. The sides also discussed prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union (EU), as well as strategic partnership in the sphere of energy. Minister Bayramov briefed the opposite side on the new realities in the region after the 44-day Patriotic war and the signing of trilateral statements, opportunities for achieving lasting peace and Azerbaijan's position on the normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations. The importance of full implementation of the trilateral statements to ensure peace and stability in the region was stressed. At the meeting, which continued in the Question-Answer format, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest, including issues of regional and international security.
