Kyrgyz FM meets ambassador of Ukraine to Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Feb. 25, 2022. / Kabar /. A meeting was held on Thursday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Republic between Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev and Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kyrgyz Republic Valeriy Zhovtenko, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported. The ambassador informed in detail about the current events in Ukraine. Kazakbaev expressed hope for a speedy settlement of the conflict, and also emphasized the need to search for new formats of negotiations, including on the platforms of international organizations and the UN Security Council in order to de-escalate the current situation and peacefully resolve the conflict exclusively by political and diplomatic methods within the framework of the universally recognized principles and norms of international rights. Issues on the bilateral agenda were also discussed, including taking into account the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year.
