Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland intend to implement number of projects for CHF 80 mln

Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland intend to implement a number of projects for 80 million francs (more than 86.5 million dollars), the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said. According to the information of the ministry, on February 14, 1992, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Swiss Confederation laid the foundations for interstate interaction and cooperation between friendly peoples. Over the years of cooperation, significant work has been done to build Kyrgyz-Swiss interstate relations based on a solid legal framework, the press service said. Bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland are characterized by stability and positive dynamics. Switzerland is one of the main donors of the Kyrgyz Republic. The total amount of assistance provided by the Swiss side to Kyrgyzstan since its independence amounted to more than 480 million dollars, it said. As part of the cooperation program between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland for the period 2022-2025, it is planned to implement a number of projects worth more than 80 million Swiss francs, aimed at implementing reforms in the field of public administration, economic development, the water sector, as well as in the field of combating climate change, the Foreign Ministry said. The Kyrgyz Republic aims to further deepen relations with the Swiss Confederation based on common values ​​and interests, both within the framework of bilateral cooperation and within the framework of international organizations.
