China to provide Kyrgyzstan with additional 5 mln doses of coronavirus vaccines

Bishkek, Feb. 7, 2022. / Kabar /. China will provide Kyrgyzstan with an additional 5 million doses of coronavirus vaccines. This became known during a meeting of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in Beijing. During the meeting President Xi said that the Chinese side decided to provide Kyrgyzstan with an additional 5 million doses of coronavirus vaccines and 50 million yuan in security assistance, expressing its readiness to expand cooperation in various fields, the press service of the Kyrgyz president said. From his part, the Kyrgyz president highly appreciated the grant assistance provided by the Chinese government on an ongoing basis for the implementation of socio-economic projects in Kyrgyzstan. Sadyr Zhaparov added that on the basis of a Chinese grant, the reconstruction of irrigation networks was carried out in Kyrgyzstan and it is planned to start the relevant work this spring, which is especially important in light of the coming period of low water in Central Asia. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov visited China on Feb. 3-6 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. During the visit, the head of state attended the official opening ceremony of 2022 Winter Olympic Games and held talks with President Xi Jinping. The leaders of the countries discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in political, trade and economic, investment, energy and other spheres.
