FMs of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan hold phone conversation

Bishkek, Feb. 2, 2022. / Kabar /. On Feb. 1, 2022, at the initiative of the Pakistani side, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Makhdum Shah Mahmoud Qureshi. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said that during the conversation, the foreign minister of Pakistan expressed deep gratitude for the high level of participation of Kyrgyzstan in the 17th extraordinary meeting of the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) Ministerial Council on the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, held on Dec. 19, 2021 in Islamabad. In turn, Kazakbaev thanked the Pakistani side for the excellent organization of this meeting and noted that today Afghanistan is experiencing a severe economic, financial, humanitarian and energy crisis, in connection with which he proposed, within the framework of the resolution adopted at the OIC Ministerial Council, to accelerate the implementation of joint regional projects on assistance to the Afghan people. Also, the foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan discussed in detail joint plans for celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (May 10, 2022), and also agreed to jointly develop and implement a Roadmap for further cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural -humanitarian areas and other areas. The sides agreed to intensify the delegation exchange at various levels and directions on a regular basis.
