President Zhaparov to pay working visit to China

Bishkek, Feb. 2, 2022 . / Kabar /. On Feb. 3-6, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov will pay a working visit to China at the invitation of Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Kyrgyz President’s Administration Zheenbek Kulubaev. During the working visit, the Kyrgyz president will participate in the opening ceremony of the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing and hold a meeting with President of China Xi Jinping. In the course of the meeting, the sides will discuss topical issues of political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. During the talks, the two leaders will sum up the results of 30 years of diplomatic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China, which is celebrated this year. "One of the main issues for discussion will be the prospect of building China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan international railway line. Within the framework of trade and economic cooperation, the Kyrgyz side will raise issues of expanding the capacity of Irkeshtam and Torugart checkpoints, and the resumption of air travel between the countries. In addition, the Kyrgyz delegation is ready to discuss issues of investment cooperation, intending to propose a number of projects in the areas of energy, mining, agriculture and education," Head of the Foreign Policy Department Zheenbek Kulubaev concluded.
