Maxim Gordeev to represent Kyrgyzstan at Winter Olympics in Beijing

Bishkek, Jan. 24, 2022 / Kabar /. Skier Maxim Gordeev will represent Kyrgyzstan at the Olympic Games in Beijing, the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to the information by the NOC, Maxim Gordeev was born in 1995 in Karakol. He has been skiing since 2010. He is the champion and master of sports of the Kyrgyz Republic, participant of three world championships, two winter Universiades and many starts under the auspices of the International Ski Federation (FIS). The best result in the international arena is the fourth place in the FIS competitions in 2018. His main and personal trainer is Igor Borisov.
Over the past four years, Maxim Gordeev has taken part in competitions in Iran, Armenia, Sweden, Russia, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates. The key tournament was the qualification tournament in the UAE in November 2021 - following the results of four starts, our athlete received the right to compete at the upcoming Olympics in the slalom discipline.
In addition to Maxim Gordeev and Igor Borisov, the sports delegation of Kyrgyzstan at the Olympics will include the chief of the mission, an employee of the National Olympic Committee Cholpon Zhumagazieva. At the invitation of the International Olympic Committee, the President of the NOC of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Mamytov and the Secretary General of the NOC Kylychbek Sarbagishev are going to the Games.
The Beijing Winter Olympics will be held from February 4 to 20. Maxim Gordeev will perform on February 16.
