Kyrgyzstan, UNESCO consider co-op issues in education, culture and social development

Bishkek, Jan. 18, 2022 . / Kabar / . Representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic and UNESCO discussed cooperation issues in education, culture, and social development, the press service of the Kyrgyz MFA said Tuesday.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Azizbek Madmarov met with Sabira Soltongeldieva, Secretary of the National Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
During the meeting, Madmarov expressed gratitude on behalf of Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev for assisting in the adoption of the UNESCO resolution "Strengthening monitoring and research on mountain glaciers" during the 41st session of the UNESCO General Conference in November 2021.
He noted the importance of further joint work to achieve concrete results on the implementation of initiatives in the field of ecology, voiced by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov at the general debate of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in September 2021, and resolutions adopted at the initiative of the Kyrgyz side of the UN and UNESCO.
The sides also exchanged views on further cooperation for the full implementation of these initiatives and other areas of cooperation between the republic and UNESCO in the field of culture, education and social development.
