Kyrgyzstan sees 30% increase in COVID-19 incidence in 3 days

Bishkek, Jan. 13, 2022. / Kabar /. Since the beginning of the year, the 4th epidemiological rise in the incidence of COVID-19 has been observed in Kyrgyzstan, head of the public health department of the Ministry of Health of country Ainura Akmatova told at a briefing.
She said that the last 3 days there has been a 30% increase in the incidence of COVID-19.
“However, it is worth noting that 60% of cases have mild or asymptomatic disease,” she said.
The head of the department also recalled that over the past 2 years there have been 3 epidemiological rises in the country, in July and November 2020, and also in July 2021.
“In turn, today the health care system of the Kyrgyz Republic is fully prepared for the upcoming increase in the incidence, but we ask citizens to follow sanitary rules and get vaccinated,” Akmatova summed up.
