Tatarstan is ready to actively cooperate with Kyrgyzstan in trade and economic sphere, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikanov said Friday during Kyrgyzstan-Tatarstan business forum held on Friday in Bishkek. "Our visit is associated with the need to further strengthen work on the development of cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, primarily in the trade and economic sphere," said Minnihanov who has arrived in Kyrgyzstan for a working visit. The leader of Tatarstan added that the republic’s experience in many areas will be of interest to Kyrgyz colleagues. "For our part, we will be glad to study the best practices of Kyrgyzstan in many areas," Minnikanov said. He also noted that in 2020 the trade turnover between the countries amounted to $ 41 million. "In turn, in order to increase this indicator it is necessary to work more actively on the issues of increasing the volume and range of mutual supplies of goods and services. In particular, we are interested in expanding cooperation in mechanical engineering, supplies to Kyrgyzstan of petrochemical products, agricultural machinery, compressor and refrigeration equipment, car tires, household chemicals, Halal products, medical industry and pharmaceutical products," Rustam Minnikanov stressed.
